What It's For

This blog is all about writing, reading, and books. It's a compilation of assorted resources to help the writing process. There are posts on worldbuilding, character design, and more. Feel free to leave a comment below on anything that you would like to see be addressed on my blog.

The Name

It's called Always Write the Good Write because that's what we should do. Just like we are told to always fight the good fight, we should write on with bravery and steadfastness, loyal to our passions and stories.

About Me

What I Do

I'm aspiring to make the transition from writer to author. I'm also the resident blogger here. I write primarily in the superhero and fantasy genres and endeavor to add and contribute to them by creating captivating content that people love. I want to write books that no one else has yet, and explore new concepts through my writing, showing others worlds and characters that they've never seen before. I am striving to make a mark on the world, or on at least one other person. Bringing Christ to others as an author without making my books into cotton candy stories.

My Name

My name is Lavender Bleu. It's both a play on the song, and reference to the graphic novel NewsPrints. Lavender's Blue is a really sweet song that's really a love song. The main character in NewsPrints is actually named Lavender Blue (which is a minor spoiler), and is really cool and kickbutt. That book has great art, and a good plot to boot.

Lavender's Blue

Lavender's blue, dilly, dilly
Lavender's green
When I am king, dilly, dilly
You shall be queen:
Who told you so, dilly, dilly
Who told you so?
'Twas my own heart, dilly, dilly
That told me so.
Call up your men, dilly, dilly
Set them to work
Some to the plough, dilly, dilly
Some to the fork
Some to make hay, dilly, dilly
Some to cut corn
While you and I, dilly, dilly
Keep ourselves warm.
Lavender's green, dilly, dilly
Lavender's blue
If you love me, dilly, dilly
I will love you
Let the birds sing, dilly, dilly
And the lambs play
We shall be safe, dilly, dilly
Out of harm's way
I love to dance, dilly, dilly
I love to sing
When I am queen, dilly, dilly
You'll be my king:
Who told me so, dilly, dilly
Who told me so?
I told myself, dilly, dilly
I told me so
