Overview
And Then There Were None was, to be frank, chilling. It's got the same feel as Agatha Christie's famous novel Murder on the Orient Express, but with a lot more of a thriller feel. It keeps you on your toes, and is perfect for a Halloween read. It's a series of murders on an abandoned island, and no one knows who the killer is. This is probably about as close to horror as I get.
What I Liked
- None of the murders were exactly the same. A couple of people died similarly, but they all kept to the theme that the murderer had chosen.
- The suspense was gripping.
- The fact that the murderer had picked a theme and was sticking to it.
- That all the people on the island were killed in the end.
- The letter at the end explaining everything in detail.
What I Didn't Like
- How the characters turned on each other closer to the end.
- Miss Brent
Conclusion
It was a great book. I'm not normally one for suspense, but the further I read, the more I was absorbed into the story.
