Book Review: And Then There Were None

Overview

And Then There Were None was, to be frank, chilling. It's got the same feel as Agatha Christie's famous novel Murder on the Orient Express, but with a lot more of a thriller feel. It keeps you on your toes, and is perfect for a Halloween read. It's a series of murders on an abandoned island, and no one knows who the killer is. This is probably about as close to horror as I get.

What I Liked

  • None of the murders were exactly the same. A couple of people died similarly, but they all kept to the theme that the murderer had chosen.
  • The suspense was gripping.
  • The fact that the murderer had picked a theme and was sticking to it.
  • That all the people on the island were killed in the end.
  • The letter at the end explaining everything in detail.

What I Didn't Like

  • How the characters turned on each other closer to the end.
  • Miss Brent

Conclusion

It was a great book. I'm not normally one for suspense, but the further I read, the more I was absorbed into the story.
